WHY K.COHEN HAIR?
Kim has a natural eye for the art of hair. She trained at the Graham Webb International Academy of Hair in Washington DC followed by advanced training at the Redken Exchange in New York City. Soon after her time in New York, Kim caught the Hollywood bug and moved to Los Angeles to attend the Cinema Makeup School.
After moving to Hollywood in 2006, Kim worked as a freelance hair and makeup artist to many high profile clients before returning to the salon atmosphere working full time as a hair stylist and colorist in Burbank, CA There she tapped into her passion for cutting and coloring and mastered her talent in color correction and remapping, becoming an expert in the field.
In 2014 Kim purchased Rock Paper Salon in Echo Park where she brought her unique sense of style to everyone, everyday. After 5 years of owning Rock Paper, 19 years in the industry, Kim decided it was time to pass the torch and sold the Salon. She now has a private suite at Salon Republic in Studio City where she continues to master her skills.
